If you are on the market for a high-end vacuum blender, chances are you have already heard of the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender SV-500. Not only were these two models among the first vacuum blenders to become popular in North America, they are also among the best vacuum blenders available at the moment. Both the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender SV-500 have received good user reviews, both come equipped with powerful motors, and both are easy to operate thanks to their intuitive buttons. But there are also some notable differences between these two models. For example, the Tribest Dynapro comes with a thermo-ink temperature sensor, whereas the Kuvings Vacuum Blender does not. Another difference is that the Kuvings Vacuum Blender has a special noise reduction cover which makes it quieter than the Tribest Dynapro.

To learn more about the differences and similarities between the Tribest Dynapro and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender, read on.

Similarities and Differences Between the Tribest Dynapro and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender

Technology

Both the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender SV-500 use revolutionary vacuum technology, meaning that oxygen is removed from the blending container before each blend. This solves one of the biggest problems in blending – the considerable loss of nutrients and antioxidants caused by exposure to oxygen during the blending process and subsequent storage. In addition to protecting the nutrient content of your blends, vacuum blenders help protect the color of your smoothies, purees and raw soups. By contrast, when you use a regular, non-vacuum blender to whip up a smoothie or anything else that contains fast-oxidizing ingredients such as apples or bananas, your blend may soon develop an unappetizing brownish color.

Performance

Both the Tribest Dynapro and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender come with powerful motors that pack even more horsepower than most Vitamix blenders: the Dynapro is powered by a 2.5 HP motor, whereas the Kuvings Vacuum Blender comes with a 3.5 HP motor. Therefore, regardless of which model you choose, you can rest assured that your blender will be able to process even the trickiest ingredients, turning everything from frozen fruit to fiber-rich leafy greens into smooth purees with ease.

Storage Container

Kuvings has developed a smart vacuum-sealable storage tumbler that allows you to prepare smoothies and raw soups ahead of time and store them under vacuum for later, safe in the knowledge that air won't degrade their nutritional value, fresh flavor and vibrant color during storage. With a few extra vacuum tumblers on hand, you could make all your smoothies or cold soups for the week all at once and store them in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy them. Note: Before purchasing the Kuvings Vacuum Blender, check with the seller whether at least one vacuum-sealable storage tumbler is included in the price and whether you will be able to buy additional tumblers at a later stage.

Noise Level

As pointed out in our review of the Tribest Dynapro, this high-performance blender can be quite loud. The Kuvings Vacuum Blender, on the other hand, comes with a smart noise reduction cover designed to dampen noise caused by high-speed blending. Not only is that a key difference between the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender SV-500, it also sets the Kuvings SV-500 apart from most other high-speed blenders designed for home use.

Temperature Control

One of the most exciting features of the Tribest Dynapro vacuum blender is its thermo-ink temperature sensor which changes color from blue to white as soon as the temperature of your blend rises above 118°F (47.7°C). If one of the main reasons why you want to buy a vacuum blender is the reduced nutrient loss associated with vacuum blending, then the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 may have an edge over the Kuvings Vacuum Blender. Not only does the Tribest blender protect nutrients due to its vacuum blending technology, it also helps protect these fragile compounds by telling you to slow things down if the temperature in the high-speed blending container gets so high that it could cause a significant loss of heat-sensitive vitamins and enzymes.

Size

The Tribest Dynapro and the Kuvings Vacuum Blender are also very similar in terms of size. Both weight around 13 pounds, and both come with large-capacity blending containers. Also in terms of dimensions, there are no big differences between these two countertop blenders: the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 Vacuum Blender measures 9.7 x 10.6 x 17.9 inches, and the Kuvings SV-500 measures 8.5 x 9.5 x 17.4 inches.

Ease of Use

With simple and intuitive buttons, both the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 and the Kuvings SV-500 are easy to use. If you decide to get the Tribest Dynapro, you will have three modes of operation to choose from: manual operation, countdown timer, and 3 one-touch preset buttons. If you decide to buy the Kuvings Vacuum Blender instead, you will operate your blender with the help of three buttons: vacuum only, blending only, and one touch auto-vacuum plus blending. In addition, the central power button on the Kuvings doubles as a speed dial that allows you to manually select blending speeds up to 20,000 RPM, or to activate the pulse function.
