Tribest Dynapro Vacuum Blender: Pros & Cons

Tribest Dynapro

The Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 vacuum blender was one of the first vacuum blenders to hit the shelves in the US and the UK. By now, it has received a lot of good reviews on shopping platforms like Amazon, and thanks to its strong performance and extraordinary set of features, it probably will continue to receive rave reviews from users. However, even though it may be one of the best vacuum blenders on the market, it does have its disadvantages, too. To learn more about the pros and cons of the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 vacuum blender, read on.

The Pros

1. Vacuum blending minimizes nutrient loss caused by oxidation

The Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050 Vacuum Blender is a revolutionary blender that uses vacuum technology. By removing air from the container before blending, the Tribest Dynapro DPS-1050-B practically eliminates one of the biggest problems in blending: the loss of nutrients and anti-oxidants caused by exposure to oxygen during the blending process. The difference between the Tribest Dynapro and a regular high-speed blender becomes obvious if you let the smoothie sit in the container after blending: the smoothie in the regular blender will soon start to develop a brownish color, especially if it contains fast-oxidizing ingredients such as apples or bananas.

2. Raw Temperature Indicator reduces nutrient loss caused by heat

Not only does the Tribest Dynapro minimize nutrient loss caused by oxidation, it also helps prevent nutrient loss caused by heat, making it a great choice for raw foodists who are worried about the high temperatures associated with high-speed blending. As soon as the temperature in the blending container rises above 118°F (47.7°C), the Raw Temperature Indicator on the blender container will change color from blue to white so you know it's time to slow things down.

3. Dynapro creates textures that are difficult to achieve with regular blenders

The lack of air in the container of the Tribest Dynapro vacuum blender also means your smoothies will turn out smooth and creamy without unnecessary foam. What's more, vacuum blending emulsifies ingredients better than traditional blending, and you won't have to worry about the water separating from the remaining components. By contrast, when you use a normal blender to whip up a smoothie, the water will start to settle to the bottom of the container, while the remaining components float on the surface.

4. Dynapro Comes with a Large, BPA-Free Container

The Tribest Dynapro vacuum blender comes with a large, 64-oz container that is free from the bisphenol-A (BPA). As you may know, BPA is a man-made chemical that some experts believe may cause health problems due to its ability to affect the human hormonal system. However, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to allow the use of BPA in kitchen appliances, including blenders, stating that there is not enough evidence to suggest that normal use of products containing BPA poses a health risk. However, the consumer interest in non-toxic kitchen appliances is huge, and despite the FDA's stand, many consumers prefer to err on the side of caution and choose products that do not contain BPA.

5. It Powers Through Tricky Ingredients (Like Ice) with Ease

The Tribest Dynapro features a 2.5 HP motor that is certified for both home and commercial use. The powerful motor, combined with a 4-spoke blending blade, ensures your smoothies will turn out nice and smooth, even when you are processing trickier ingredients like ice, frozen fruit or fiber-rich leafy greens. The three modes of operation (Manual Operation, Countdown Timer, and 3 One-Touch Preset Buttons) give you a lot of control over the blending process, allowing you to achieve perfect results every time.

The Cons

1. The Tribest Dynapro is loud

One complaint that pops in user reviews of the Tribest Dynapro vacuum blender time and time again is that it is very loud. However, if you have already used a high-speed blender, you know that most blenders of this caliber can be quite loud.

2. Longer preparation time

If you compare the Dynapro with Vitamix blenders and other non-vacuum, high-speed blenders, you will realize that the preparation time is slightly longer with the Dynapro. Why? Because you will have to pump out the air from the blending container before you can start the blending process. With the battery-operated vacuum pump, it takes about 30 seconds to get the air out.

3. If you add ingredients halfway through, you will lose the vacuum

Another disadvantage is that you cannot simply stop the blending process halfway through to add ingredients, or you will lose the vacuum. Now, that is not unique to the Tribest Dynapro, but it is something that sets all vacuum blenders apart from Vitamix and other non-vacuum blenders.

4. It's quite heavy

The Dynapro is quite heavy, twelve pounds to be exact. So, if you need a vacuum blender that you can easily move around, you might want go for a personal-size vacuum blender instead of the Dynapro.

5. It's not a cheap blender

Finally, the Tribest Dynapro comes with a pretty hefty price tag. You can view its current price on Amazon by clicking here.
